Lieberman: I'm Definitely Going Forward

HARTFORD, Conn. -- U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman, stinging from his loss in Tuesday's Democratic primary to anti-war challenger Ned Lamont, filed Wednesday to carry on his campaign for a fourth term by petitioning his way onto the November ballot as an independent.

"I'm definitely going forward," Lieberman told The Associated Press Wednesday morning. "I feel that I closed strong in the primary. I feel we began to get our message across strongly and we're going to keep on going."

Lieberman said his campaign has collected more than 18,000 signatures on its petitions, more than twice the number needed to get on the fall ballot as an independent. A campaign representative submitted them Wednesday morning.

"This race is going to be all about who can get more done and who can be a better representative of Connecticut," he said.

8. Holy Joe was the incumbent. It was a stinging loss. And Joe's
dear buddy Dubya would consider such a spread a mandate for the victor.

2. What is your message Joe????
You don't have one. Your campaign will be nothing more than a full-on attack on Lamont and cries of partisan politics.

3. Droopy sings Radiohead!
I will stop, I will stop at nothing.
Say the right things when electioneering
I trust I can rely on your vote.
When I go forwards you go backwards
and somewhere we will meet.
When I go forwards you go backwards
and somewhere we will meet.
Ha ha ha
Riot shields, voodoo economics,
it's just business, cattle prods and the I.M.F.
I trust I can rely on your vote.
When I go forwards you go backwards
and somewhere we will meet.
When I go forwards you go backwards
and somewhere we will meet.

9. The irony of all this is that Lieberman
was all too eager to concede the 2000 election to the Bush Crime Family, knowing he had his safe Senate seat to fall back on.

Now the jerk loses that seat and basically refuses to concede it.

I hope Lamont whips his sorry ass come November. I suspect, however, he'll barricade himself in his Senate office, and the Capitol police will have to remove him by force. This is a pathetic chapter in American history.

11. You betrayed the party Joe
Yet I think thar if you had won, you would have criticised Ned Lamont if he even considered standing as an independent.
