Dearest Media: the WINNER, one LAMONT, should be getting the AIR TIME
Why does Tweety continue to entrall me in his dungeon. And what-the-Hades is it with Dan ABRAMS's policy of showing taped so-called "investigations" instead of live coverage of the election results last night?

So Tweety launches into his live rehash of the results at ONE A.M. So who was the star of the hour?----------one Joementum. HIS campaign manager was interviewed, so to speak, since he didn't have any answers as to whether Joementum is going to support the rest of the Democratic slate, or what will be his role in committees, or even whether the manager himself will continue as such. All he could say was that it would "all play out in the coming days and weeks."

O.K., fine, but there was nobody from the ----------WINNER's--------campaign. TRIPPI was on by phone and had to spell out that this was a HUGH!!1 victory for LAMONT, that not since (1974?) had a challenger upset an entrenched incumbent, when Dale BUMPERS bumped off FULBRIGHT. Still a subdued Tweety, looking ragged with an AUDIENCE of about FOUR, made the rounds of four guests, who were all focused, except for the TRIPPI dude, on THE DUDE WHO LOST!!1

1. Lamont Who?????
It's inspiring that so many people at DU expected the media to suddenly wake up and smell the coffee. Don't you all get it yet?

Lieberman, Lieberman, Lieberman. That's the coverage you'll get, and you'll like it damnit!

"this is not a compliment, Chris" right after the "enthrall in dungeon" phrase. He considers himself such an "icon" that this needed to be spelled out.

I agree about TRIPPI, but he was the only one shifting the focus to LAMONT. And actually, looking at DU's top GD page, the NAME is that in the majority of the thread titles is Joementum's, not LAMONT's.

Might as well pop in here the rest of last night's gleanings:

COLMES was at LAMONT hqtrs signing off, and a cool NEDhead behind him held up the standard blue LAMONT campaign sign. Then he slowly turned it over, and there was a hand printed sign, "HANNITY SUCKS ASS"!!!!!!!!1

The camera stayed there a tad, then switched to HANNITY, who had a sheepish, martyred look. PRICELESS!!!1
Hannity sucks ass:

6. I share your frustration
But Lieberman losing is as big or bigger than Lamont winning. That, unfortunately, really is the story.

7. I hate to say it, but you had better get used to it.
The corporate controlled MSM has already got their marching orders, and that is to pimp out ol' Joe as much as possible, and pay absolutely no attention, other than negative attention, to the actual primary winner Lamont at all.

After all, ol' Joe's been a loyal corporate whore for many years, so he's calling in all his favors on this one, and not just from the MSM, but the DLC and the rest of the so-called Democratic corporate whores.

12. On the Bill Press show this morning, a caller spelled it out
You're not going to hear about the Republican candidate ("That Republican Guy"; maybe he'll drop out so that Joe gets a clear shot).

The contest will become "Joe Vs Ned" ... with Lieberman being the MSM's choice ... portrayed as "the underdog" (BULLSHIT!)

13. Let 'Em Keep Buyring Lieberman
Hopefully Ned's getting the first good night's sleep he's had in months. Thank goodness he didn't have to deal with a boorish Tweety or Sweet Table Crowley to answer their gotcha questions.

Democrats across the country are waking up to an act of betrayal...plain and simple. They see the "Sore Lieberman" side over and over. Remember, what really killed Joementum was his disastrous appearance in the debate with Lamont, and the showing of this ugly Joe show is doing the same on a national level. This isn't the friendly "nice guy" who hung around with Al Gore...this was a man attacking his own party and telling the voters of his party in his state that he has little respect for them. This is the message that is coming out of my TV today.

Lamont's victory was in despite of the corporate media...and the more they piss us off and show their true partisan/biased nature...the stronger our movement gets and the louder our voices become.

There are a lot of us pissed off, frustrated, voting Democrats out here and any kick is a boost as far as I'm concerned...the more the corporate media tries to dismiss me and the candidates and issues I find important, the harder I'll work to support those candidates.

I sure don't think he's winning any "swing" voters in Connecticut with this stunt...only splitting whatever right wing and "moderate Repugnican" (who'd never vote for a Democrat anyway) vote.

In his "debate" with CHEENEE, I was paralyzed with shock and disgust.

16. It's all about face time.
They are very afraid Lamont will get his message out.

Some day we will march on the media and demand truth and fairness or we will boycott their advertisers.

Head On, apply directly to their foreheads.

17. It's going to be a GROUND WAR won by WE, the PEOPLE....
We have to realize that the Corporate Media is NOT ON OUR SIDE.

They will NOT provide fair coverage in elections.

2000 taught us that. 2004 taught us that.

It's time we LEARNED our LESSON.
