The FBI needs to investigate the "bloggers"?
To listen to some in the M$M, one might think that Ned Lamont won because of the "bloggers". But I believe, and correct me if I am wrong, but don't you have to be a citizen of CT and registered to vote as a Democrat to cast a vote in the CT primary? Now, if "bloggers" are infiltrating CT and posing as Democrats and fraudently giving false addresses so they can vote, then that is a big story.

Although some more rational folks might say that the "bloggers" didn't vote - the people of CT did. Hopefully the bloggers in other parts of the country had an impact? I hope they did? But the bloggers didn't vote Ned Lamont - the people voted.

1. As a well respect Blog-O-Fascist
I have to say I find the idea of investigating the blogs to be a very bad idea.

But in the spirit of full disclosure, I will admit that I did try to affect the Connecticut race. I was going to use Plan 9, in which I raised the dead and forced them to vote for Lamont. Unfortunately I was using no-name batteries on my zombie raising gizmotron, whcn I should have been using Everlast. So I only got one Zombie up, and i'm not even sure about that. He might have been a Scotsman. So my personal plans to nefariously affect the CT race failed. Fortunately the turn out not to be necessary.

3. They may be screaming bloody murder about bloggers
but I'm convinced that what did the trick is Dean's 50 state strategy, concentrating on the grassroots up instead of from the top down.

I think the DLC knows it, too, but they don't dare give Dean any credit at all.

4. I heard they might.....
From Newts insurgency statement, calling voters of CT insurgents, to Chris Mathews "pajamahadeen" statements about bloggers one would think they are reporting from Baghdad. But of course these two people are totally nuts and allowed to spew their bullshit on television.

5. They're mad because we sent cash $$$$$$$$$$$
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 09:01 AM by MissWaverly
and we gave Lamont a lot of good publicity and we help get volunteers to help in the Lamont
campaign. They're mad because we are taking the power away from the lobbyists and the corporations and giving it back to the people. As Cokie Roberts said on ABC This Week; if
congressman start playing to their constituents; our country would be a mess. OMG, what's
next a representative democracy. Every major paper in CT backed Joe, but we didn't and would
not be intimidated or coerced; do you realize what a message this is.

6. Blogs helped, but they didn't win.
Tons of volunteers, donating their time to get out and meet people, to make phone calls, to enter data, to make more phone calls. Ned's constant time on the road MEETING THE PEOPLE and ANSWERING THEIR QUESTIONS, being receptive to criticism and willing to discuss the issues that concern the actual voters, and a big GOTV effort from all of us Lamont volunteers, that is what won this race.

Right fucking on, kentuck. Blogs can motivate, inform, rile up, but they can't go out and vote!
