1. "The lieberation of the Democratic Party from the DLC."
-caller to Sam Seder during "The Majority Report" last night.

2. If we could only pop Feinsteins bubble...
THAT would send a message. Sending moribund retard cheerleader and Momma warbucks packing would simply change the face... and expectations of the DLC.

4. It's up to her constituents to do it! And they can!
Find a challenger, lay the groundwork... every Dem in this country should see that every other progressive person in this country will help with money and in any way they can.

It's up to US.

6. Sadly for me, I live in Geowrgia... real bastion for free thinkers.
Though, I agree entirely. The entire power structure is wholly owned and operated by corp interests.

Usually when things get like this, people take up arms. Hopefully it won't come to that. But, do you see any "graciously conceding defeat?"

7. I live in a red state, too.
And you're right, the corporatists and their whores and toadies will not give up without a fight.

We have power, not might. Take up arms? I don't think so. Getting our neighbors to start paying attention and using the power we have? ABSOLUTELY!

Even in red states, in the reddest of red areas, the last thing we should do is stop fighting. The people in red states have been fooled into backing corporatists. The dems who support the DLC have been fooled into backing corporatists. It's on US who see that fact to spread the word, and fight for change.

8. AND fund alternative candidates.
That's the kicker. Nothing like herding cats to make your day. The issue here is, as it most always is, money and to a lesser extent direction. The progressives here, that I've talked to, are just as passionate as anyone else. The Democratic party here just isn't doing shit. WAY to much defense, corp and prison complex money feeding both troughs.

My question is how to we rid ourselves of corp monies in elections?

9. By backing candidates who don't accept it.
And you're darn right about alternative candidates. Here, as there, the state party is pretty much all DLC. It's gonna take time, but it can be done. We have to change this. Nothing good ever comes from the top-down... it always starts from the grassroots.

Here in TX for example, we have David Van Os. :patriot:

11. My rep is Tom Price.
If there ever was a Lockheed whore...

Funny stuff from employees at Lockheed. 90% of top management of Lockheeds at the Dobbins AFB manufacturing plants are now from Texas. You should hear the girly boots comments. AND they've lost several HUGE contracts over the last 2 weeks. The minions are furious! Can't wait to see what happens from this all!

3. Joe's out there right now
making November a referendum on the fitness of Democrats for office, which is just giving wind to the backs of dispirited Republicans and the media/punditocracy. The out of control dumbass is looking save himself and the DLC, even if he has to burn the party down to do it.

5. Let him! Americans are catching on to the GOPranos game... finally!
I don't see too much evidence of it down here... but it's happening, slowly but surely.

The media will be against us, and that's a challenge, but there's no question that this is the most important challenge we face today.

We are facing the death of democracy.
