Or, does he have to raise new money? It seems to me that he shouldn't be able to use money raised as a Democratic party to run against the Democratic candidate.

Is this a stupid question?

Edited to correct "should" to "shouldn't" in second sentence.

3. I was just wondering about this myself.
He has a couple of million more left. It seems it should go to a democratic organization.

Anyone know?

Campaign donations belong to the candidate after the election. Legally he can cut himself a check for the entire amount and deposit it in his personal account, after settling campaign related debts, bills etc. But he'll probably use it to win the general in November.
