Candy Crowley says Lieberman is counting on "Republicans" to win
Ok, and for once she is right. She pointed out that Lamont has spent the entire campaign saying that Lieberman is "too close to the Republicans" so now Lieberman is going to move even further to the right. He is counting on the official GOP candidate who is not polling well at all to be a minor figure.

I figure he will try and hold as many of the Democrats who voted for him today and get 25-33 percent of the democratic vote, a sizable share of the GOP vote and a fair share of the Independent vote to put him on top in a three way race.

The campaign begins today and to quote one of Lieberman's favorite Republicans, "bring it on."

But with a house of cards as precariously balanced as that, it's bound to fall.

Holy Joe's going to take as much money and resources as he can from both the net roots and the Democratic Party in the national level, money and resources vitally needed if we're going to take back Congress. And he knows it too, and doesn't care.

Which makes him on his own, as far as I'm concerned.

What she is saying is that there will be no republican challenge, but Joe (an independent) and Lamont a Democrat in November.
