Hillary cuts $5000 check for Lamont and Bayh endorses Ned
With his loss in the primary--Sore Loserman is losing his support base in the Senate. Hillary Clinton is cutting a $5000 check to support Ned Lamont and fellow moderate Indiana Senator Evan Bayh said the people have spoken and he is supporting Lamont in the general.

According to KOS Sen. Dodd is going to try and talk Loserman out of the Indie bid--and tomorrow (or today) Schumer and Reid will both speak out on the race. What will they say?

46. Lamont's got to denounce Hillary if he wants to establish himself as the
hero of the left.According to many here at DU, Hillary represents all the wickedness that the Democratic party has become. Ned is the knight in shining armor who will lead the fight to undo all of that backward compromising, triangulating stuff.

After all of the hooplah about his anti-war position, I'm just hoping Ned doesn't sell out the left and become a politician like Hillary.Tossing that five grand back in her face will be a good indicator that Ned's his own guy.

from the Iraq war vote (as well as other DLC votes). She appears to be a creature of the currents (polls, that is). She was once my fav. for '08 - now I am almost 'anyone but'. Gore, Feingold....Boxer would rock, but has no chance - sigh - I love my senator.

20. Whoa!!!! They're lining up for Ned.
As Flounder says, "This is going to be great!!"

Watch Reid apply the pressure. He may outright announce that he's going to pull Loserman's committee assignments. Or, he may just make a quiet phone call to Loserman telling him that he has only until Congress reconvenes to withdraw his candidacy, or forfeit his committee assignments.

Oppose the Democratic Party nominee and you cannot call yourself a Democrat.
Don't like it, Loserman? Tough shit!

all have the same position Hillary/Bush/Olmert/Netanyahu have. Only Leahy and Hagel dissent among Senators and serious Senate candidates. I don't think HC should be singled out for doing what virtually all politicians, including all major presidential contenders, are doing: blindly backing Israel on everything it does.
