RW C-Span Caller Said Joe Promised To Serve Only 18 Years

A caller on C-Span tonight said that during Joe's original campaign for Senate, he looked at the camera,
raised his hand and vowed that he would serve for only 3 terms if elected. He also said that Weicker was
out of touch with his constituents, and that the problem was that he had been in DC for too long (ie: 18 years).

Can anyone verify this?

BTW - the caller identified himself as an R, but he sure had the Dem talking points down. His final comment was
that Ds Rs & Is should come together and throw out ALL incumbents and start from scratch.

There must be film of it somewhere ... or a news report about it.
