2. Schumer Refused To Rule it Out!
Schumer said that the DSCC "fully supports" Sen. Joe Lieberman in his primary bid, and he refused to rule out continuing that support if Lieberman were to run as an independent.

There were degrees of independence, Schumer said. "You can run as an independent, you can run as an independent Democrat who pledges to vote for Harry Reid as Majority Leader."

5. Why is the DSCC taking sides in a primary an yway?
Isn't it customary for them to say they don't take sides in primaries, and they will support the nominee in the general election? Or am I off-base on this?

8. The DSCC didn't take sides in the primary. But the question
...is what they will do next.

9. They do it all the time.
They took sides against the guy I supported in Colorado in '04. Since then, I absolutely refuse to give them any money. Why give money to an organization that's going to use it against someone that you're giving money and other support to? Best just to give to individual candidates.

11. Schumer endorsed Webb in VA
He seems to have a taste for "fine-tuning" primaries to his liking. If he doesn't give Lamont anything less than full-bore support against Lieberman, he'll deserve a beating with a stick.

7. Any D.C. Dem that doesn't support Lamont should be dragged by their ankles
out of the party. And I won't give a cent to the party until they make it clear it will go only to support Dems.

12. i've never donated to the dscc, and if they give money to lieberman i
never will. In the past, my money has always gone to the DNC and to individual candidates. I would consider giving to the DSCC this year, particularly with the senate within reach, but not if they give money to defeat the democratic nominee of connecticut.
