1. After beating Lieberman by 3 points?
You have to be kidding. Lamont did terribly. The fact the Democrats nearly renominated a true DINO if ever there was one shows that Lamont is a good candidate, but not a great one. If Lieberman was as bad as we believe, he should have lost by a much larger margin in the Democratic primary.

3. I'm talking about Lamont. The man himself. A person. Not numbers.
Fuck numbers.

16. Lamont gave a great, inspiring speech!
Lieberman once again stated that he didn't care what the people thought that he was interested in what he knew this country needs, sheesh, what arrogance.

Be interesting to see how many Dems in Congress back Lieberman as an Independent??

7. You obviously aren't from CT, and don't know much primary history.
If Ned had won by half as much, it still would be HISTORIC. Only the fourth time in how many decades? This is hugh, even if it isn't as hugh as we thought it would be. Seriesly.

11. Connecticut has the toughest Incumbent Protection System in the country.
I think he doesn't know about that.

For ANYONE to beat ANY incumbent in this state at ANY level, from local on up, by ANY margin, is damn near a miracle.

25. And he was going up against not only
Lieberman but the entire Democrat establishment, and the MSM. All but one newspaper endorsed Lieberman. And he got into the race 8 months ago and nobody knew who the heck he was. Lieberman has been in office for 18 years plus before as Att Gen. I would say considering all this Lamont did amazingly well and Lieberman was pretty lousy.

I'm glad Joe lost...but I'm not 100% sure what I just traded him in for yet.

14. Where did that come from?
I'm glad to see Lamont beat Lieberman. I've posted that elsewhere, several times.

Just because I don't want Lamont to skip the Senate & go straight to the Whitehouse means I'm a republican lite? By what method did you reach that conclusion?

22. You did well. We all make regrettable posts. And regretting them
publicly is good citizenship.

Don't believe I know you, but now I know you as an honorable person.

21. I for one would never call you that. I respect your opinion. And I thank
the poster for retracting the statement.

We all say things we should not, and it's a mark of decency to acknowledge an inadvisable post.

20. True, and it would be Democratic of Lieberman to
bow out and give a Dem a chance.

This vote could get the Democratic ball rolling in enough States to take over Congress. Dems Must show some courage, smarts, and not follow their campaign managers to their death by not being themselves. Everything Lamont said in his speech tonite was spot on. At least he admits what is needed, getting it done in Congress can be a challenge, but, he is aiming in the right direction.

23. Yes, indeed. Are we sheep like the Repubs are, voting as the
higher-ups tell us to? Or, in this case, as the Entrenched Interests will try to tell us to?

I sure hope not. We NEED Lamont. If for no other reason than that he's a harbinger of The Winds Of Change.

24. Don't know much about Connecticut politics but,
I am so excited that this could be the turning point in the Nov. election! This guy has proven that many people are tired of the same old rants and lies even by our own. Too many Dem votes in Congress have gone to bush's wishes due to campaign money issues, I guess. Lamont sounds really good to me.
