It rarely happens in our history - and we helped !!

Only a bunch of times previously has an incumbent Senator lost a primary - everybody at DU take a bow.

Edit: Apparently the anchor on NECN is not that accurate :D

I can't remember his name at this point, but he said it has only happened 4 times previously.

Lamont's victory was the result of the "left wing" radical element of the Dem Party.

Since when does 52% of the vote constitute a fringe element?

Wake up, DLC!!! This is not just a fringe element, a faction, a handful of "left wingers" or whatever label you wish to pin on those who voted for Lamont. What you heard was the voice of Democrats taking their party back!!!!
