1. Because Freeperville is...
a very low quality site, which means it is easier to keep it running during heavy activity.

3. Because there are really only about 500 freeps
and most of them can't type fast enough to make enough traffic to crash shit.

8. Plus They Have To Have The Ability To Read!
That must be a bitch of a requirement for freeps to have!

5. Didn't crash? How could you tell?
No, seriously: because they didn't follow this race much.
There was very little traffic concerning this.

B*sh might love Joe Lapdogman, but to FR he's just another evil Dem.

6. Just Beacuse It Wasn't On The List I Saw In The Post HERE, I'd
never go there. The little traqfic thing makes sense though.

12. Sorry, I phrased my little joke poorly. My bad.
When I said "how could you tell?", I wasn't really asking
a question. I was implying that the FR site is so
horribly designed that "crashing" would not make any
noticable difference to the average viewer.
It was meant as an INSULT to FR, that's all.

And I know they had little traffic on this issue
because there was a thread in GD discussing it;
it took about 10 or 12 replies before someone actually went over there
and reported back that they had offered a few lame slams
to both Lamont and Lieberman before moving along
to whatever the hell they think are REAL issues.

10. Because they were all here
or at the other crashed sites.?

It's not like they have anything worth reading over there.

11. The Freepers don't feel that strongly about the race
They disdain Lieberman as just another liberal. They acknowledge that he's been with them on Iraq and a few other things, but for the most part they feel no stake in his re-election. One of them pointed out that Lieberman's most recent American Conservative Union rating was zero.

The "News/Activism" page at FR lists only a handful of threads about the Connecticut primary. It's comparable to DU's "Latest Discussion Threads" page, which has only a handful of threads that aren't about that.

So, bottom line, the heavier traffic on the progressive sites isn't at all suspicious.

13. not sure, but it's a pretty crappy site to begin with
the way the threads and posts are done is not easy to follow. especially if you want up to date info by each second.
