2. Perhaps that is the point. Joe is pretty snuggly with Bush, maybe this
is all just a part of the plan. Toss the Dems what they think is a victory, then yank the rug out from under them when it really counts.

NAZIS!

Doesn't look probable.

4. He will decide overnight not to run. With a 55% turnout and losing still
there wil not be anybody else left to vote for him. He'll bow out tomorrow .

13. People need to realize that that is a monstrous turnout for a
party primary in August. There are a lot of good, decent people who voted for Lieberman who will not take kindly to his ego trip of an Independent campaign.

6. no. the republican is really weak
I heard on NPR during the Vietnam war that happened in Conn. but b/c the Republican is so weak Lieberman won't split the ticket which may be one reason why he is running as an independent. In polls Lieberman wins in a three way race unfortunately

17. Welcome to DU! Last poll I saw showed 3-way as 40-40-15
As Lieberman moves to the center, and as leading Democrats line up behind Lamont as they promised, I think we'll see Joe drop a few points. It'll be close. But as Lieberman has vowed to organize with the Democrats, it's still a win-win situation for us.

7. all joe needs is another 8-9000 votes to win based on today's count
must be a lot of voters who didnt make it out. doesnt seem like that many more needed.

8. That's what everyone said about Nader running
in 2004..

He won't split the vote too much on the line for CT, CT people will come to realize that.

Plus it's going to be a PR nightmare for him to brush off the will of 52 Percent of the vote (uncounted) who wanted him gone.

CT is a pretty solid blue state.

12. Nope
The GOP candidate is pulling 12% against both. There will be a Dem Senator at the end of this.

15. I disagree...
... this vote is as much a referendum on Bush and his band of merry fuckups as it is anything else.

No way a pure Repuke is going to win. Not gonna happen.
