I sure hope we're not jumping the gun here
I have been let down so many times of late that I am going to wait a while to see if this is as it really is, Lamont vs lieberman. as I sit here with my fingers crossed.

4. We are.
Have hope, cross your fingers, pray, sing, whatever. Don't lose hope.

But we should have learned by now that when criminals run the system, the system becomes criminal. Anything can happen by tomorrow morning.

5. Please note:
Even if Lamont loses tonight, Democratic Party politics have been changed forever by this . Do not doubt that for a moment.

Of course, there will be a lot of statements denying that. Pay them no heed.

6. My feeling is
that the right wing of your country craft elections the way dramatists write plays: they allow for some drama and suspense at first, playing with the people who have an emotional stake in the proceedings, but, wouldn't you know it, the surprise ending always favours the right.

I am emitting not one "woo-hoo" until every vote is cast and certified.

9. Well...
Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 08:44 PM by neoblues
With 44.39% Reporting, Ned is leading by 7439 votes (53.09% to 46.91%; a solid six points). It certainly looks favorable and considering the reality that we are talking about an 18 year encumbent who was recently the candidate for vice-president, this is relatively speaking, a land-slide.

EDIT:

While I was slowly typing that: it changed to rougly 55% Reporting; 52%/48% 5676 vote lead. Ouch.

EDIT 2:

Now It Has Gone To: 56.55% Reporting. 52.17%/47.83%. 6616 vote lead.
