DU may be reducing functionality tonight to keep the servers humming

It's been many months since we've had to go up to Level 1 due to traffic overload, thanks to a great new database server we purchased earlier this year. Tonight, however, we're getting slammed, and while the database server is performing beautifully I'm starting to notice some bottlenecks in other areas.

These bottlenecks will likely require that we reduce functionality to keep the server running smoothly. Hopefully we won't need to officially go to Level 1 (although we might), but it's highly likely things like avatars will disappear temporarily to help us serve all this traffic.

The functionality will return as soon as traffic dies down.
