It isn't election's, it's elections. Plural, right? More than one election? Elections. Election's? That's possessive.

I apologize for nit-picking, but it looks terrible, and I see this about 30 times a day on DU.

Not to mention the "it's" and "its." "It's" is the exception. The possessive of "it" is "its", without an apostrophe. "It's" means "it is." Period, and that is all. It's = it is. Its = possessive.

Plural usually means add an s. Usually, almost always. Not an apostrophe, which usually, but not always, means possessive.

Can't we get that down? Pretty please?

No, wait: two more. Whose is the possessive for who. Not who's. Who's means who is.

"Lose" means to discover you don't know where something is. "Loose" means something isn't tight.

Then there's always there, their and they're. Shall we?
