By the way... DLC Vice chair says Lieberman should run as Independent:
This is from an article in our local paper yesterday. Tom Carper is one of our senators (Biden, the other) and the vice-chairman of the DLC.

"If Lieberman loses, Carper said he should follow through on his promise to run as an independent and rejoin the Democratic fold if he wins a three-way race in November."

If anyone needs a leadership committee it is the Pugs, and since their heart is in the corporate
boardroom, why can't they just morph into the RLC, hey, just think of all the cool donor gifts
they'll get.

And if you take the Repukes' word for it, they serve the same purpose to the Republican party that the DLC does for the Democrats.....

since they love Republicans, many of their consultants are former GOP staffers, so I was
hoping they could really do a job they love, promote the Pugs!

8. What else would you expect from Carper?
It's not as though the DLC were ever really Democrats in the first place, so it makes no difference to them what letter Joe has after his name.

I certainly hope the Democrats on this site unite behind the Democratic candidate and reject this attempt from right wing special interests to enable the Republicans in Connecticut :)

14. Agreed. I'd like to use that "culture of corruption" tag on MOST OF D.C.
And it would fit quite well.

I'm hoping it's not just a "throw Joe" campaign this time but a turnover of the old and too familiar faces that have shaken way too many hands.

The man extremely popular in our state. We'll have 6 years to work on him. I'm hoping that Schumer and Reid will sit down with folks like Carper and explain to him that we support democrats.

I am writing my letter to Carper as we speak demanding that he endorse Lamont.

BTW, Biden will support Lamont

I've called his office and blasted him (after the Roberts vote), I've called and begged him (to support the Alito filibuster.) Carper doesn't represent me, he represents the DLC and the credit card companies located here in DE.

He's also up for re-election, this year.

We have no Lamont to vote for. It's Carper, or the GOP.

We have no choice in DE.

I envy you folks in CT.
