Idiotic new meme "It's only a real win if it's a blowout for Lamont"
WTF? I've seen this said on like 3 shows so far. Suddenly the 18 year incumbent is the underdog/comeback kid who can declair victory if he even comes close while the challenger new kid has to beat him by 10 or 15 points?

Wow what a reframe of everything that has ever existed historically.

But given that Lamont voters are now classified as "FAR LEFT" I guess we really do live in crazy world.

1. It's only a REAL WIN if
Lamont pins Lieberman's shoulders for the full 3 seconds.

2. Quite the opposite
Lamont may or may not win. Joementum has already lost, even if he retains his seat. To have a challenge like this is a huge, glaring message.

10. Yes that's why I'm speechless that this talking point is
getting spewed all over TV. The MSM is working overtime to frame ANYTHING Joe does short of a total belly flop as a win. They are scared shitless that the voting public has finally had enough and is voting an incumbent out.

The fact that this election is even on the news today (Because of it's closeness) should be seen as a HUGE victory for the progressive wing of the Democratic party and the general sanity of the people of CT.

Lamont's showing is THE definition of a loss for the corporate centrist Bush appeasers.

3. Ye gods
Actually, quite the opposite. The point has already been made. Bush suckups are toast.

4. Fuck them....we rule!
The bloggers have taken over. It's just like always..the 18 year veteran should be running away with it and if Lamont wins..period then it's a blowout for Lamont.

lieman can go suck on his elephant eggs.

5. Yes, incumbent senators are always at a disadvantage.
It difficult to raise money when everybody already knows what you believe.

7. If Lieberman loses by 3 to 9 points and then goes on to win the general
election without the Democratic nomination how could that be a win for Lamont?

8. Oh yeah, that's what they said in 2000, right?
That was a "real win", wasn't it?

9. That reminds me of when at the 2004 NH primary Joementum said,
"We're in a three-way tie for third place!"
