Joe is so desperate, he's giving away T-shirts on the street corners!
Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 04:52 PM by Atman
I just came back from doing some errands and finally saw some VOTE JOE signs. Of course, like the rest of them, they were on public property, not lawns. But this time there is a new twist. Kids are standing on the street corner of a commercial district near my home with boxes of Lieberman t-shirts. Out of curiousity, I pulled off into a parking lot and waited through a couple cycles of the traffic signal...not one Joe supporter was able to give away a single t-shirt to the motorists stuck at the long rush-hour lights. Not a one. They walked around waving placards and holding out shirts to people. No one wanted one. I even saw a few people roll up their windows.

T-shirts, Joe? I think you're going to be having a LOT of them left over, dude! LOL!

2. Joe Judas helped make sure Bush won in 2000.
Now I get all his pleading with Gore just to give up and pack it in. Joe Judas.

3. I'd take one
An extra large would make a nice night shirt. Few people would see it, and I get a free nightie! It's win-win!

10. But I'd feel so...so...DIRTY!
A Joe-mentum t-shirt? Brrrrr....I shudder to think. What if a neighbor sees me taking one? Maybe I should put on a disguise and drive to another precinct.

19. At your urging, I went back to grab a couple shirts
I was going to ask for one for my dear old mum, too. But alas, the t-shirt vendors are all gone. The polls are opened until 8:00 pm, so I don't think they took off on their own, not on a busy street at rush hour. I went up and down the strip...no Joe teams any more. Hmm. I wonder if the police ran them off.

22. Is that legal?
I know that many states have laws against giving away anything of value to potential voters. A lot of states also have bans on election day politicking.
