1. lever machines... as long as the total people that vote on them adds up
to the totals from the machines then they are good.

:) There has been some cases they were pre-loaded with votes......

6. Of course he'll try -- he's a Republican isn't he?

2. I've been asking about the central tabulator...Remember GEMS?
Many think that, in Ohio, Blackwell sat at a console and edited election results with GEMS. That, of course, means that the actual totals will differ from the reported totals. In Ohio's case, Blackwell then delayed a Green Party recount for months and, after the delay, there were strong indications that the 3% recount was fixed.

3. What do you mean "going to"?
He has already started, by (apparently) crashing his own site, blaming Lamont, and now getting the CN attorney-general and (from other rumors) the Federal Bureau of Investigation involved in Lamont's supposed "voter supression."

"Going to," bah! Where have you been all day? :hi:

4. It wouldn't suprise me in the least
This is starting to get the feel of '04 and '00. The polls for Ned look good, all indications look great, yet in the preceding couple of days all the sudden pollsters and MSM pundits start playing up this miraculous "tightening up in the race". And then, despite the exit polls being for X, the vote count shows that Y actually won by a small but solid margin.

Ol' Joe has been saying that he had a surpise in store for this electionk, perhaps the suprise is about to be sprung.

5. I don't think he would steal an election. However.....
I think that there is a very good chance that the Republicans are capable of doing it for him, without his knowledge and that he is bitter enough about the probability of losing this election that he is capable of believing that Lamont is up to tricks.

I don't agree with many of Lieberman's views, his votes, nor his assessment of himself as a good Democrat but I don't think that he personally would ever try to hack or steal an election. I don't even think he would turn a blind eye if others did it on his behalf. I do think he is wearing blinders, though, about how he has represented his constituency, and about the Iraq war.

7. I think he'd kill his own mother to win this race.
I may be sounding unduly harsh, but I've simply been astonished at his behavior recently.

8. If we think he would try to steal this election,
Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 05:32 PM by joe_sixpack
does that mean he would have done it in 2000, when he was our candidate for Vice-President?
