Bernard Lewis, the Neanderthal scholar of Islam seems to think that there is a good chance that crazed Iranian leader Ahmadinejad may very well, in a fit of apocalyptic rage, spur the end of the world in two weeks. Part of his ghastly little missive reads:
"President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad "and his followers clearly believe that this time is now, and that the terminal struggle has already begun and is indeed well advanced. It may even have a date, indicated by several references by the Iranian president to giving his final answer to the US about nuclear development by Aug. 22," which this year corresponds "to the 27th day of the month of Rajab of the year 1427."
The thing that really pisses me off is that this jackass, and all the other Iran war drum-beating jackals, are always so quick to focus in on Ahmadinejad's "madness" as the chief reason to deal with Iran. This guy has no political power whatsoever. Lewis though, would have all us fools believe that yes indeed he does, and what is more is that Lewis is able to read his mind. Unreal. The president of Iran has as much power to start a war as does the Queen of England or the president of Israel, which is to say none. I'm so tired of this bullshit lying.
