I am really concerned one of these American reporters embedding...
...themselve the IDF is going to find a Lebanese bullet with their name on it before this is all over with.

Maybe not now but one of these days.

They are either real brave or real stupid.

1. I think for the most part they are brave
BUT....I have a lot more respect for radio reporters than for tv. For tv reporters it's all about the visuals and the ratings.

2. I agree
I saw some reporter embedded with the IDF this morning on TV. It really bothers me, because I think it clearly implies that we've taken sides. Also, the news value of the war at that level is debatable. I think it evolves into a kind of propaganda.

What's next? Al-Jazeera embedding with the Hezbollah? If we're going to see one, why not both? If we're going to insert ourselves into this war at the ground level, I think we need to see both sides. Both or neither.

3. Once a journalist is "embedded' with one side, their credibility
and objectivity is very suspect, imo, not unlike aspects of the "Stockholm syndrome".

5. I think with the fire power Israel is using it is more likely that a
reporter on the Lebanese side...not even embedded would get killed.

6. These guys going to have Israels firepower with them their whole lives?
I would be concerned for the welfare of my immediate family back home in America after pulling a stunt like that.
