NOT A CHANCE! - Lamont Campaign Official Response To LIEberman Smear
Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 12:53 PM by kpete
Here’s the official response:

Statement on Joe's Website

Apparently the Lieberman campaign is pushing a story that we have coordinated an attack against their website. Not a chance. Here’s the unqualified statement Sean Smith has called for.

If Senator Lieberman’s website was indeed hacked, we had absolutely no part in it, denounce the action, and urge whoever is responsible cease and desist immediately. It is our sincerest wish that everyone planning to vote for Ned Lamont or Joe Lieberman does so today.

10. Yes! A victim of the Stalinist bloggers and hackers!
We seek to overthrow democracy in Connecticut and establish a society modeled on Pol Pot's Cambodia!!

(Is Holy Joe desperate or what? I think this last-ditch episode tells us a lot about the people Joe hires.)

5. And if Lieberman's supporters did it?
What will happen to them?

My guess--the story will simply disappear if it's traced back to a Rovian/College Republican trickster.

11. "Back to" implies that he had STOPPED at some point.
And I haven't seen that.

Just like I haven't seen him offer an ounce of PROOF
for any of his LieberGanda.

"The FBI is investigating"..."It's proven that Joe paid his website bill"...
"Ned Lamont turned me into a newt"...

Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 01:21 PM by Beetwasher
I thought they were already investigating, according to you. Now Bush WILL have them investigate?

You get more and more full of shit w/ every post and if you think you're fooling anyone w/ your bullshit you're deluded.

And still, not a single link or anything to back up your bullshit. :eyes:

18. Got a link?
Because we have screen shots that say the account has been suspended and they should contact the billing department.

Sounds like they didn't pay the bills, not hacked.

7. Good on Lamont. He ran an honest, hard-working campaign.
Notice the ugliness only started happening when Lieberman stopped laughing and started realizing his back is up against the wall. Enter the Brooks Brothers disruptors and faux-hacked websites. Like being able to access his website is really going to win or lose him the election. Smoke and mirrors.

8. The Lamont campaign has been civilized and on the issues
While Joe is the one who is accusing without any shred of evidence and threatening to bolt the party if he loses. What a loserman.

12. A question from a technically challenged person.
If you were running a million dollar campaign, wouldn't you have some back up plan? I'm thinking about an alternative site that can be auto linked in the event there was a problem with the primary one?

I knowmany sites are set up to auto go to the actual web address. An example of that is www.cnn.com/lou. Here's the actual site address

http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/lou.dobbs.tonight/

But if you just enter the first address I mentioned, you're auto taken to the correct one.

Why couldn't they set up a back up site, or in an emergency, set up a new one and suto link? So what if there's not time to make it fancy? All you need right now is access!

Let me also add, IF Joe's site was in fact hacked, whoever did it deserves to pay a large price!!!! I don't care about the name calling and dart throwing, but this kind of crap is inexcuseable!

17. The finger-pointing is paranoid as hell.
Script kiddies and hackers love the chance for hitting high viz sites. It's pretty obvious to me that Joe's site was poorly engineered, using VERY vulnerable software/html - sometimes saving money can be expensive. Unless they have some good sniffers and forensics, it's irresponsible as hell to point to Lamont.

trust them to correctly identify a hacker?

22. Well, if all they know about 'parsing' and 'L-R grammars'
... is what they got from English 101 and PoliSci 102, it figures.

Most of the folks who work on such web stuff are mere "plug'n'play" drones.
