Dennis Miller to Join Fox News This Fall

By Associated Press

NEW YORK — Dennis Miller is hardly shy about expressing his conservative political views.

The 52-year-old comedian, who has voiced his support for President Bush and the U.S. invasion of Iraq, will talk politics as a contributor on Fox News' "Hannity & Colmes," network spokeswoman Dana Klinghoffer told The Associated Press on Tuesday. Miller starts Sept. 13.

He will also provide commentary on the Fox News Web site, Klinghoffer said.

In 2003, Miller was a regular guest on "Hannity & Colmes," hosted by Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes. He also had his own short-lived CNBC political talk show, "Dennis Miller."

51. Miller will have a problem with Fox viewers......
His schtick is the obscure literary reference. The average Fox viewer is a TFM*. TFM's don't "get" or even want to "get" humor based on TFM's.

Can Miller find a schtick Foxes' TFM's will get? Only if he becomes Dennis the Cable Guy.

* TFM = Total Fu*king Moron.

7. What? Is he still alive? I guess those Net Zero commercials aren't
paying the bills.

He was a mediocre comedian and actor, he'll be even less of a personality on Faux News, of course if he's going to be on TV, that's where he should be. He'll fit in perfectly with the rest of the bigoted, small minded Nazis there.

9. Oh, goody
He used to be pretty funny and tended to be pretty even-handed when making fun of politicians, etc., but when he saw the ways political winds were blowing, he turned into another Rush, whose humor typically is the kind that attacks people who can't defend themselves. That kind of humor has a very narrow (32% - backwash) audience.

40. Every piece of crap is getting a job
The insane Smerconish clown was on MSNBC hosting news coverage this morning. I don't know how long he's had that job doing the morning news, but I thought Michael Smerconish was just an occasional psychopath appearing on Tweety's show. Now it looks like he's being paid to be insane on a regular basis.

Lately it seems like the bigger the piece of crap someone is, the more likely they are to land a job on cable news.
