How is it were you have worked?
Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 10:35 AM by NNN0LHI
Wherever I worked an employee could accumulate hundreds of "atta, boys" for doing a good job over a period covering decades.

But if that same employee screwed up just once of any magnitude every one of those "atta, boys" were immediately wiped away like they were never there and replaced with an "aw, shit" and chances are that the employee will be fired.

Why should Lieberman and his supporter expect to be accorded a better deal than any one of us would get or even expect from our employers?

1. All those "atta, boys", but if you screw one goat, you'll always be known
as "that goatfucker".

2. I keep posting this site.

He's got a lot of "atta boys" to his credit, but check out his record on labor issues and subsidies for big biz. That tells me a lot.

I think he's been a decent Senator, the good and the terrible balanced far in favor of the good.

However, the war plus his record on labor and corporate pandering have tipped those scales the other way this time. Were I in Ct, I'd vote for his opponent.

If he wins the primary, though, I'd vote for him and not for a Green. He's certainly been good enough for that.

3. I realize you are making political points, but at my job, I keep a work
journal. Every time a boss or client compliments me, I make a note of the date and time and the nature of the compliment. If I get an email thanking me for coordinating things well, I put it in the journal. At review time or if discipled, I can put whatever the current problem is into its proper context.

I encourage all the interns and new guys to keep a similar work journal.
