Will Israel really bomb the engineers trying rebuild bridges in Lebanon
so that aid can get in? If these engineers are Chinese, will China respond?

2. I believe they will.
Will the home nations of those engineers respond? Probably not, other than lodging protests with the U.N.

3. Yes and No
Yes, they'll do it in their 'right to defend themselves offensive'. No, China won't respond...at least not militarily. JMHO.

5. Did everyone just completely forget China buys gear from Israel?
Military radars etc. ...Everyone just forgot along the way?

It's not bombing them because they're Chinese, it's because they're "UN" and "helping Hezbollah". Even so I'm sure the Israelis hope they just, well, don't try to help and sit on their butts.

6. If Hezbollah uses the bridges to transport weapons....yes
If Hezbollah uses the bridges to transport supplies and arms to Hezbollah fighters...the Israelis will bomb it. No doubt about it.

8. their intelligence is bullshit
Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 10:23 AM by bigtree
they've bombed these roads and bridges without any significant impact on Hizbollah's ability to launch strikes into Israel. But, their supporters want us to believe the Israelis have some special knowledge about Hizbollah supply routes and positions. Ask the families of the innocent dead who were caught underneath Israel's bombs just how accurate their intelligence was in determining that their exit routes and aid supply routes for food and medical aid to the tens of thousands injured and scattered needed to be destroyed.

This is a mindless and reckless campaign by Israel as demonstrated by the over 600 civilian Lebanese deaths from their airstrikes. There should be an accounting of the competency of the airstrikes in the targeting and the prosecution. There should also be an accounting of just what Israel intended/intends to destroy as they decide the lives and livelihoods of the Lebanese are less valuable than their target and the ones in Israel they claim to be defending.

That accounting shouldn't wait until the mass graves in Lebanon - which hold the scores of innocent men, women, and children slaughtered by Israel's bloody reprisals - grow over

7. They bombed them before. They are showing no restraint in their
commission of war crimes.

9. I suspect they'll bomb the bridge
they haven't exactly shown much restraint to date. I also suspect they'll avoid bombing the engineers.

11. If their military strategy is take out bridges and roads
which is a classic strategy used in warfare, most likely, or they will when finished (bridges).
