He's clearly cheering Lieberman on and really trashing the grassroots.

1. Oh yeah.
Hey, wait. I thought you had to be a "grown-up" to be allowed to register to vote.

God forbid that people actually get involved in politics in large groups, and organize in a way that is person-to-person. :wtf:

6. I would think he meant something to do with "pundits"
Either Mathews misspoke or the OP mistyped it.

OR maybe I don't know what the hell I am talking about.

about it as a "great word." Apparently, it means bloggers, and must be a derisive term for bloggers among some of the media. It would be great if we have any media people on board to explain how widely it is used and the nuances of meaning for us if other than my impressions based on Matthews'use of it.

big, bad radical bloggers at home in their PJs? Hopefully, the pajama crowd and "kids" and "lesbians in flannel shirts" left over from the Dean campaign will bring about victory for Lamont.

12. "the grownups" is code.
"the grownups" is what *co called called itself in 2000. Therefore, if Tweety is to be believed, and I have learned over time that when the Beltway Insiders speak in this way that they should be believed, it means that the standard selection set of Republican election fraud efforts will be undertaken. Watch for fraud.

13. "Pajamaheddin"
A play on "Mujeheddin," i.e. the Afghan fighters that became the Taliban.

His point was that bloggers and online activists can't win an election until they step away from the keyboards, get dressed, and go out to vote.

The phrase was crass, but I agree entirely with the sentiment.

I did agree with him that a Lamont win will give the Dems a clear message, whereas a Lieberman win will keep our message fuzzy and confusing.

20. I don't think the implication is that we could be effective if we grew up
I think the implication is that we can never be effective. The implication is that we are a bunch of Taliban-wannabes, who aren't remotely scary and can never be scary because we're such pathetic loosers.

when the grownups in CT have had their say at the end of this day.
When the voters choose Ned. Let's hear him trash to grownups of CT then.

I had to REGISTER,that's right REGISTER to vote. I came here almost 2 years ago,and this past June was moved to register to vote.So those grownup newsliars need to buy a clue.

Apparently he has never tried to plant a garden.Grassroots are tough, and spread far and wide. And they don't need much encouragement either.Just a little sun and rain here and there.
