Did Lieberman announce that he would definitely run as Independent?

If he did, I think that was an example of his terribly poor judgement. That one announcement could lose the election for him? What if only 5% change their mind because of that? And it is likely that some Democrats will not vote for Lieberman if he shows no more loyalty to the Democratic Party than to announce that he doesn't give a damn about the Party - only about Joe Lieberman...

..be an example of good judgement? :D

On a serious note, the fact that Lieberman will directly screw over Dems by running as an "I" should be enough reason to slam him with a double digit loss in the primary today. A message needs to be sent that even if a few did switch over, it would be too few to matter.
