On a lighter note: Let's give Joementum post-Senate job suggestions!
The neo-con are suggesting Bush appoint Lieberman Defense Secretary, but I don't think even Cheney could drag Rumsfeld out of the Pentagon.

So what's Joe going to do for a living after his Senate career ends? After all, Bob Dole pitched Viagra on TV so there's really no limit on what a failed conservative pol can do for a living.

Joementum's most distinctive attribute is his voice -- that strained, constipated voice.

So my job advice to Joe is to become a TV spokesperson for Ex-Lax. "Ex-Lax will give your bowel movements some Joementum!"

What's your suggestion for Joe's post Senate career?

9. Do they grow crops in Connecticut?
Lieberman just looks like the flawlessly perfect ScareCrow. That Gangly Bulging Hunchback(?), the Gargantuan Swollen Head, the Big Haunted Eyes, the Scrumbly Voice, those Long Crooked Fingers (all the better to steal the money meant to feed all the little children), that Great Huge Mouth (all the better to eat all the little children)...

Cackle, Cackle! Shooo! You Old Crows! Steal Not My Crops! A Pox on Ye! (Noooo Joe, Not a Pox... Haven't you heard of Bird Flu--it could come back to kill us all...)

Anyway, a scarecrow would be such a productive position relative to what he's been doing for the last 18 years... the shock would probably be too much for his system--all that work too... having to actually do something (indeed, it would be a major step up for most Congressmen). It's about time he did something for 'his' state.

23. Did you know one of CT's most important crops is tobacco?
We all think of tobacco as a southern crop. But Ct specializes in a very small niche market: the wrapper tobacco used on the outside of cigars. Even Caribbean countries that make great cigar tobacco use imported Connecticut wrapper tobacco.

Birds don't really go after tobacco, so Joe would be as useless as a scarecrow as he was as a Democratic Senator.

But I like the image!

16. Not just Joe, but ALL politicians once leaving office
should be stripped of wealth and assets accumulated during their tenure, and be forced to live among the people whom they've just legislated into oblivion living by the laws they've just created or reinforced. Term limits would be enforced so they can't opt out of the above scenario by becoming a lifetime politician.

Just a quick day dream I had.
