Do we need a new Secretary of Offense?
The Department of Offense, as we all know, is what became of the Department of Defense, when the commander in chief declared that we will adopt his policy of preemptive warfare. Congress didn't even notice.

Have you ever noticed how the PNAC has turned everything upside down? Even the truth has been reversed. What's real is fake and what's fake is real now! The "General" on Keith Olbermann's Countdown, says that Iraq is not yet involved a civil war, because Iraq still has a functioning president and a functional government! By that type of reasoning, America never had a civil war either, because from 1861 through 1865, the US government was working overtime and so was president Lincoln. There were in fact two functional governments with two presidents functioning, all through the American Civil War. That TV General needs to read his 10th grade American History book and retain that information. How in the hell did he ever graduate from West Point?

For 230 years, America never needed a Department of Offense, or a Secretary of Offense and we got along fine. We had a War Department when war was declared, but WAR has never been declared in Iraq. Now Bush wants to grab even more military power, contrary to the US Constitution and the laws on the books. The GOP in the House tried to sneak through a back door bill, that will turn all the Guard and Reserve units over to the federal government too. Bush and Rummy have already shown that they can't be trusted to use the power that they already have. Why would anyone in their right mind, want to give them anymore power?

22. If you're not offended you're not paying attention...
I was offended when they threw my vote in the trash in 2000.

I'm more like alarmed now.

Are like athletes. If they make lower than a C, they get a C average. The schools are reticent to alienate possible contributors, though the Bush family is pretty cheap. I doubt they'd have lost much.

Sure Iraq is already in a Civil War. We gave that to them with our invasion and occupation, for what turned out to be a lying, false reason.

I've been saying for three or four years that we really don't have a department of defense, but a War Department. Interesting that they added Homeland Security, already having a huge budget for "Defense". Certainly they are redundant as named. Anyway, the "Defense" department under Bush, like most others, did a really poor job of defending us. The reason clearly is that the DOD is actually an offensive, attacking war body. This is sad, but true.

7. We need an Offensive Coordinator, and a Defensive Coordinator.
The Secretary of Defense will henceforth be referred to as "Coach." If we can find a good Coach, we can turn this team around, the way Vince Lombardi turned around the Washington Redskins. Lombardi said, "Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing." It's time we started to win a few conflicts.

19. With the Bushetals and their Orwellian language
we may see that with the next Congress.

Not sure if that takes an act of Congress to do or not though. 'Someone' suddenly changed the Government Accounting Office to the Government Accountability Office. It might have just been one of Bush's 'mis-speecherins' and a light went off over someone's head that it was brilliant, though.

21. Peace to the GOP is like sunlight to a vampire...
They hate peace and prosperity for anyone but the wealthy and their cronies,(capos)goons and thugs.

"You're either with us or against us!" There is no middleground, no room for compromise, no room for compassion, no room for forgiveness, no room for peace on Earth.

"Stay the course!" Even if it leads to ruin. (Hitler believed the same things)
