Why the Lamont and Libermann primary is important
To many it is just a primary.
But this primary has receive much coverage even oversea.

Many see it as a deciding battle between the peace loving Americans against the neocon.

Many around will take it as a future indicator of US future direction.

Has the neocon taken a hand in this fight?
I think they has.

There is two different reality here.
Only one can exist.

Which is which
Soon we know.

4. Dont asked me how Joe end up being cast in this mode
But people all over using it as indicator of the NOV election and the future direction of the US.

In a way they also trying to read the Democratic Party mindset.

If Joe lose he lose. If he wins ....... sadly I think US lose.

Lots of hope for a new US direction. Maybe this last chance kind of thing.
After that one need to read the posture of countries around the world.

10. I guess our elections affect a lot of people who don't get a vote.
And lots of them are getting killed lately.

2. Flashback to Hackett vs. Schmidt
We thought the voters of the Ohio 2nd District would send an anti-war message to Washington and put Paul Hackett in that congressional seat.

They didn't.

I'm worried about tomorrow, more than most.

7. Yes, and while Hackett vs. Schmidt wasn't international news...
... it was big stateside news. And it wasn't a primary, it was a special election in the middle of summer.

And more importantly, it was for a congressional seat. Small potatoes compared to the stakes in Connecticut.

I'm just hoping they do it... they turn out... they speak up... they send the message.

Fingers crossed. I'm a little worried. All the King's Horses have rallied behind Joe Lieberman and to be honest, that really stacks the deck against Lamont.

If the people speak, Lamont wins. Will they? Will they speak?

11. Now, don't start thinking this would change anything.
Even if Ned Lamont becomes the Democratic Nominee for the US Senate tomorrow, that doesn't change anything that's happening.

He hasn't been elected to the Senate, and it doesn't change any of the numbers... Lieberman was still a solid Democratic seat, and although he doesn't always vote with us, he's not a Republican. Nothing changes.

A lot can happen between now and 24 hours from now. And a lot can happen between now and November.

Until November, nothing changes. The stakes are high for all of us but nothing changes. A Lamont victory has enormous potential to send a message to the Democratic Party that we're holding their feet to the fire on Iraq and a myriad of other issues, but we have to be honest with ourselves. Government is slow.

13. Oh that everyone know
going to be slow. Too much shit anyway to shovel. But it is the change of direction that is more important.

I think the Republicans got more to worry about this primary then the dems.

that you can't fuck with the voters too much, or they will hand you your ass. If you're not going to act like a democrat, then your ass is out. A clear and pointed message, meant to be understood immediately.

15. Electing Sherrod Brown to the Senate will still send that message.
Sherrod is not a neocon or a hawk. So no worries there.
Besides, he was always to the left of Hackett on the issues anyway.

16. There are two Sherrod Brown Events in Dayton Ohio today.
Senator Max Cleland will be with him. First, a fundraiser then a Rally at the VFW. After that, they move on down to Cincinnati and meet up with Paul Hackett.

3. We already sent the world our message in 2004
Namely, we didn't protest the results when the votes weren't counted.

8. Conneticut
the race there is said to impact all races in the political sphere. it'll determine just how pro/anti Iraq war America has gotten. When it comes down to it, the average voter only realizes that their stance on Iraq (And how being close to Bush) is the only difference between the two men. (Even though that's untrue.)

I didn't realize that this race had taken on international significance. I hope the CT voters can pull this one off, for all of us.
