hero of the week

I've got this habit of nominating my own personal hero of the week. So I think I will start posting, on Fridays, my hero of the week. Add your own heros to my post if you wish.
This week my heros are the surgical team separating the Herrin twins.
A past hero was country singer Dottie West. On her way to a performance at the Grand Ol' Opry, Dotties car broke down. She had promised she would be there, so she hitched a ride with a passerby. He crashed his car. Dottie, injured as she was, pulled the driver from the wrecked car. She died two days later from her injuries. August 6, 1991
ALL firemen are my heros. They face death everytime they show up for work.
A California Highway Patrol Officer on the job only six months witnessed a single car accident. The car was burning. She got her fingers in the crack of the door and wedged it open and pulled the driver, who weighed around 250 pounds, out of the burning car.
Lots of kid heros out there. They'll come later if I can't find a hero to post about on a Friday.
