Lieberman will become a Zell Democrat if he loses?
Edited on Mon Aug-07-06 08:53 PM by quinnox
After reading the latest that he said Dems will be shown to be weak on terror if he loses to Lamont I'm wondering that a Lieberman loss will make him become a full fledged Zell Miller type Dem and start trashing the Dems every chance he gets in the media for revenge! A new pundit for the media that they will love to go to so that Dems are embarrassed by one of their own just like Zell Miller.

9. no
no matter how much Ned Lamont or his supporters want to lie about it, Lieberman has never been anything but a moderate to liberal Democrat and he has never shown any inclination to switch parties.

Lieberman has allied himself in the past with some folks who are far from being liberal and/or moderate

5. He's already a Zell DemoCrap...
I think he already is, appearing on Sean Insannity and welcoming endorsements by Mann Coulter, Tom DeLay, Limpballs, and so on. He's Zell LIEberman, and I hope to God that he gets crushed tomorrow. CT Dems are very politically astute. Let's hope they make the best decision for the state, the country and the party. If they go with Zell LIEberman, then we'll all have to just accept that...

...however, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he does a Zell Miller on the Dems should he lose. I'm almost ashamed to claim Miller as my former GA governor, but he was. I don't know what the hell happened to him. He used to be a champion of moderate to progressive causes.

6. We owe it to Gore who embraced Joe in 2000. He should have been
distanced from the party a long time ago.

8. that's absurd
i don't particularly like lieberman's cheerleading for bush, but you've got to admit he's decent on social and civil rights issues. and remember al gore chose him as VP. he's not a zell miller clone....not his style.

my hope is he'll go gently into the night and work to get lamont elected.

10. he may be worse..
if the Democrats win back the Senate, he'll switch back. If Republicans hold the Senate, Lieberman will become a Republican. And if bin laden someday ruled America, Lieberman would become an outspoken supporter! What do we owe him now? It makes me sick to see someone our party once put on the national ticket, stab us in the back without a second thought!

But watch out, this is politics! ;)
