1. Hell No!!!
Get those profits up!!! $5/gallon! Let's get some genuine outrage here, and (mis)direct it at the Ruling Party.

10. Misdirect? Could you explain?
Why would genuine outrage at the price of gas be misdirected at the ruling party? Was it not their highly-touted Energy Policy that opened the door to this mess in the first place?

And then, as if on cue, 9/11 comes along and "everything's changed."

Genuine outrage is properly directed at both the oil companies AND the Republicans, they are in bed together on this one.

2. I don't feel too sorry for these guys
If you gained your riches off the sweat, blood, and tears of others, then when you go through moments of hard times, you will know what we go through every day of our working lives.

4. Good! Now, What Will This Instant 8% Reduction In Crude Do To Us?
Edited on Mon Aug-07-06 05:49 PM by ThomWV
I thinks its just wonderful to whoop and holler over how BPis gonna take it in the ass on this one but you have to ask yourself the greater question. Will this be the straw that breaks the Stock Market? Keep an eye on the next few days, we may have just seen this centrys first Black Thursday come on a Monday.

5. Hell no! Google "BP, Texas City, Explosion"--get 1/2 million hits.
And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Their safety record sucks. You know those BP ads you see on TV at night? They pull those out when they have another spill in one of their plants down in Texas.

7. I am feeling sorry for myself
I filled up last Thursday but did not fully lock my gas cap-it has a key lock, the result, I had to go to the gas station tonight, I was down to 1/8 of a tank. That's how some people solve their gas problems, siphoning off yours.

11. Corporate Responsibilty
Edited on Mon Aug-07-06 07:06 PM by Stargazer99
this is the problem with capitalism. Monies should have been invested in repair and checking the pipe lines instead of rewarding the CEO's and stock holders.
One of the individual's hired to assess and check the pipes was hassled by the corporation and he states there are miles of unchecked piping...doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure corporations need to be controlled by government. Guess who is going to get punished for this? Not Corporate America, you sucker, Joe Six Pac with higher prices.
