2. Oh man,

if I was just finishing a 6 hour flight from London and then learned that I had 6 (or 7!) more glorious hours on a plane heading back to where I just came from 'cause the Repugs are friggin' "security crazy" (and not in a very smart, efficient way), I'd be majorly P.O.ed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6. 9/11 - second one : not Chile 1973.

A bunch of us in the UK were off to a dance camp in SF for a week - on different flights. Big Ron had left Heathrow at about 8.30am that morning. A major number of hours later when all of the passengers were expecting to land in SF someone looked out of the window and said "oh look - they've got a model of Windsor Castle". They'd been turned back to Heathrow having been told nothing during the flight. On my own Heathrow flight I guess we were turned back somewhere over Iceland or Greenland. The pilot just said "if you've noticed the sun in coming in the wrong windows it's because we've been turned back and you're all going to Glasgow - Heathrow and Frankfurt are both full up" . He also said words to the effect that the Twin Towers were no more and the Pentagon had a dent in it.

7. Strange - the BBC news 4 hours ago said it was "not terrorist related"
