Let's play supposies here. If the Arabs converted en masse from Islam to evangelical Christianity, why should they feel more favorably disposed towards Israel than they did earlier? The Israeli occupation of the West Bank is still oppressive, what has happened in southern Lebanon and Gaza is horrible, and there's little sign that things are getting better.

Although I don't particularly care for one side or the other in the Middle East (Anyone who can ask "What has the Palestinian Authority done for me lately?" think a lot like I do), it looks like Israel has adopted a Roman-style "Let them hate, so long as they fear" military strategy.

is across the street from where I work. I have volunteered for our fighting dem, Jay Fawcett, so it's always interesting when one of Bremers staff comes in. My boss gets a big kick out of it, she knows that I'm with the "other guy".

Honestly though, I don't think Bremer has a chance.
