The best thing you could do is support Jonathan Tasini today. He is running against Hillary Clinton in the September 12 Primary for the Senate nomination. Hillary has such a war chest that everyone assumes she's unbeatable. That money will be directed at buying the 2008 Presidential nomination the day after Election Day. This may be the only chance to slow the Juggernaut.

1. I agree...
She needs to be knocked out of the race completely.

I'm not sure, with all that's backing her at the moment, if that's possible though.

Go, Jonathan!

2. Don't be shy because this race is in New York State.
A lot of Hillary's money is from out-of-state, so the race has already been influenced by "outsiders".

3. I have mixed feelings about loosing to Tsani.
I really liked what I have read about Tsani. Hillary deserves to be KO'd for many reasons. Yet, somehow I take no glee in it. I'd like to see Tsani at least get 49.9 % of the primary vote and then be ready for future success'. I 'd be voting for Tsani in September, thats for sure.

4. I'm hoping for a repeat of New Hampshire, 1968.

McCarthy didn't beat Johnson, but he took enough of the vote to shake up the conventional wisdom. I don't want to go through yet another Primary season in which the safe candidate gets all the money and good people are ignored. It's not that I want Hillary to lose; I just think there are better candidates out there.

9. I think Hillary needs to connect with Democrats.
She wants to ignore what we are about. A little challenge is good for her soul.

6. What we really want in 08
is new blood. I know nothing about Jonathan Tasini, but I do know that Hillary is representative of all that is wrong with the Democratic Party these days. We do need people willing to stand up to the entrenched old-timers who've supported Bush far too well.

But we also need to think beyond Edwards, Clark, and Gore. We need to see what happens with the 06 mid-terms, and take it from there in about a year, not sooner.

11. My point is that you may never get to put your 2 cents in unless
you put them in now. The script is for Hillary to sweep the primary and senate race here in New york, then use her momentum (alternate spelling:money) to take the nomination in 2008. She has the money now, and too many in the leadership think that that is the magic indicator.

7. I Won't Work Against Here In NY But I Won't Support Her Nationally
And that sums it up for me.

She can stay in New York and I'll be happy as can be and so will she. The day she move to get her name on the ballot in my state, for any office what so ever, I simply will not vote for her.
