2. Many fundies believe an inability to conceive is punishment from god...
...usually because of the woman's sin, of course.

Those opposed to stem cell research cannot be swayed with logic. Some may be influenced if they experience the pain of diseases like Parkinsons, or if they watch a loved one suffer.
