"Presidential Prayer Team" urges prayers for Bush due to short vacation
Yes, of all that things that need prayerful attention, Chimpolini's "refreshment" :eyes:

PRAY NOW! 'Pray for those being affected by the heat wave in America. Pray for their relief and that those who require medical attention will receive it...Pray for President Bush, to be refreshed and rejuvenated during his usual summer vacation in August which has been cut short this time...'

2. If I were in the mood to pray...
...it would be to ask the heavens why he thinks he deserves to vacation at a time like this. But we already know his needs come first.

I don't pray but if I did I couldn't post my top top prayers for W. Let me say that impeachment prayers would only come it at #3.

3. I pray for him and his
cabal many times a day. Just probably not what they are praying for. The nicest way to put it would be...may they all get what they deserve and then some.

4. To be truthful
I will admit to praying every day for Bush, and Cheney, and the rest of the neocons who have taken over our country. My prayers are as follows...may each and every one of them be repaid in kind. As they have sown, so shall they reap. I pray that a just God will reward every one of them according to what they have done to the rest of the world. I pray that the pain they have caused will come back to them.

After all, Bush being such a devout Christian, how could he possibly object to my heartfelt prayers? I pray that their actions will be rewarded according to the actions they have taken. I am only praying for the good of my country, and that those who have brought about evil will be repaid. If Bush is so oh, so holy, and oh, such a good man, then there is no harm in my prayers. If he is not, that is his burden to shoulder

15. mine USED to be "may each and every member of this lying, hate-filled
maladministration and its apologists receive exactly what they deserve". it now goes, "may each and every member of this lying, hate-filled maladministration and its apologists never again draw a peaceful breath. may they never be free of the sounds of the screaming and crying of the dead and dying as the result of their policies, may they never be free of the images of the destruction they have wrought. and may the veils of illusion be stripped away so that they are seen for exactly what they are, by everyone, inclduing themselves. so mote it be."

37. I like your prayer
I think I'll add it to mine, if that's ok with you. I think, though, if one of them ever dropped the mask, even for a minute or two, and let people see them as they really are, the revulsion would be devastating.

5. The ghost of Lincoln and Washington would be praying their hearts out.
The times are dire and those two would be praying hard for the nation they helped create. In otherwords, they are not praying with Bush but for Bush and the country.

16. Come come now, no need to interject historical fact into this.
It was explained to me once by a Christian that historical fact is unnecessary, because the Lord is omnipresent-- and that means in space as well as time. Even if certain leaders weren't Christian at the time, the Lord could go back and transform history from his heavenly perch anytime He wants.

17. Oh please!
That fool has taken more time off than any other president in history--and even when he's not on vacation it's not like he really does anything of value. Why should anybody pray for him to sit around and do nothing (compared to the nothing he does under normal circumstances)?

20. Vacation Summer-
Actually I would rather Bush out on his ranch than in the oval office making decisions. I mean what was that that Bill Maher said a few months ago? "Forget impeachment, if he just doesn't touch anything over the reminder of his term I'd be happy."

have fallen upon deaf ears. That could mean one of two things. Either "god" doesn't exist or his "plan" is different than what we'd all wish for. Of course, we can NEVER know "god's" plan. :eyes: How conveeeeeeenient!

These are goddamned royalists, disguising themselves as Americans.

This is NOT how you treat elected officials in a democracy.

This is craven pandering to some lunatic they want crowned as their earthly lord.

I hate these fucks.

It looks like Abe and Washington are ready to perp-walk little Georgy from the podium.

They're just taking a moment to mourn how far the nation has fallen before hauling the Chimpster off to his cell.

38. Imagine Abe and George refreshed from their "usual summer vacations"...
Abe: "Okay, so, something happened at some one-horse town called Gettysburg, or something like that? Bring me up to speed. Hmm, maybe I should make some sort of speech about it..."

George: "Damn, I wish we'd fight more often in winter -- I'm trying to get refreshed and rejuvenated during my summers..."

ever since this dickweed stole the 2000 election.

His "vacations" on the ranch (think Antabuse) have a pretty bad history. Vacation 2001 - 9/11. Vacation 2005 - Katrina. Personally, if I'd been asleep on my watch during two such catastrophes, I'd likely lose my job. What is this asshole doing still in power?!
