Do "capitalists" plan for the long-term?
What I'm trying to ask is this. What is the plan for economic exploitation in the Middle East?

Juan Cole had this article up on his website which gives a rough idea to the reader of what may be a possible scenario....

http://www.juancole.com/2006/08/one-ring-to-rule-them-wholesale.html

IMO the US invasion/occupation of Iraq is one part of a larger scheme to grab the oil fields of the Middle East. All with the intent of controlling the economies of China and India while at the same time enriching US/Western corporate Oil interests...

Am I a foreign policy scholar? No.

Am I an economics expert? No.

But I damn sure know that the invasion/occupation of Iraq wasn't an attempt to rid that country of WMD's because we didn't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud, while exposing a war-critics CIA wife as punishment for unmasking bogus intent on the part of this administration.

6. If you want more wars, you better be planning every day
Because every day a war ends means another day you're trying to justify the government throwing tax dollars in your direction. War is one of the most profitable businesses around, and the business isn't wide open unless there is a hot war going on right now. A cold war will do just as well, but it's the hot wars where you make a killing.
