Forgive me, I accidentally turned on Faux news...
Edited on Sun Aug-06-06 04:29 PM by marmar
They were discussing the Lieberman-Lamont race a few minutes ago, and predictably it was the most slanted B.S. "news" story I've seen all week. The reporting went something to the effect: "Dems are angry because they haven't won since the 1960s and they're taking it out on Joe Lieberman" and "They're not as mad as Hillary Clinton even though she supported the war because she's a better politician than Joe Lieberman who's managed to gloss over her war support better."
Turning on Faux is like that scene in "Poltergeist" when the evil spirit-fighting lady tells the mom not to peek into the room where the daughter disappeared, but she does anyway and finds all kinds of horrors when she opens the door. :scared:
I promise I won't do it again!

5. True that.
What's that T-shirt say: "Truth has a well-known liberal bias."

4. Don't have to apologize too us.
There's an ancient saying, non-attributable to some sage Roman galley slave, that the deed carries with it its own reward.
Just you wait 'till rot gets a little further along and your brain starts oozing out your ears. You'll be sorry!

7. Total Lack Of Understanding
I have read some other articles on the Connecticut race, as well as listening to NPR. I have heard both defense and criticism of Lieberman. I have heard different reasons for why this is not a good thing for the Democratic party, but none so blatantly partisan as what you report from Faux News.

So much focus on Connecticut, but Chafee and DeWine are also getting a strong challenge in their state's primaries. Interestingly enough, all three were part of the "Gang of 14" - in fact, I think the only one who doesn't have a primary challenge is Florida's Nelson.

The thing I heard is, Lieberman has voted with the Democrats something like 90% of the time. The anger is not just about the Iraqi War vote, or about Hilary glossing it over better. Most of us know you can love your country without supporting the war or the President. Senator Clinton believes you can support the war without supporting the President. But Joe Lieberman does not seem to believe either.

10. Me too. You have to punch in the channel # to get it with my TV. It is
a propaganda channel and to think that any of its viewers voting Democratic is hard to believe.
