* has a teleconference with Blair (working hard) - pic
Edited on Sun Aug-06-06 09:41 AM by Kadie
It is the annual "working while on vacation" photo. Doesn't it look a lot like photos from vacations in previous years?

This photo provided by the White House shows President Bush, right, and National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley participating in a teleconference with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006 at the Bush Ranch in Crawford, Texas. (AP Photo/White House, Eric Draper)

3. Much cheaper for us in this case, rather than to have him fly to
Europe to embarass us face to face with foreign leaders. Jet fuel must be sqeezin' his allowance lately.

4. Transcript
W: Hey Tony.

PM Blair: Good Evening Mr. President, how are you today?

W: I'm good, T, but it ain't evening, it's only 1. I think yer a little confused. Heh heh heh.

PM Blair: Ah, yes Mr. President, but with the time difference, it's actually a shade past 7 in the evening, I apologize.

W: What'ya mean? It's only 1, ain't it Big Steve?

Stephen Hadley: Yes, Mr. President.

W: Tony, it's only 1.

PM Blair: Ah, yes Mr. President, it's only 1 there, but here it's 7. You see the Earth is round, and it's different times all over the world.

W: So what time is it there?

PM Blair: It's just after 7 in the evening, Mr. President.

W: And it's different times everywhere?

PM Blair: Yes sir that's correct.

W: I'll have to check on that Tony. Good talk.

PM Blair: Ah, yes thank you Mr. Presi...

6. blivet** wearing his play clothes while Hadley wears a suit
didn't Hadley get the memo -- it's a working VACATION, stupid. They must have only given Hadley that one play clothes shirt and it must be in the laundry.

8. I would hate to be part of the IT support...
for that idiot. Can you imagine the inane questions they must get? "No mr. President, you have to open your eyes to see the monitor" and "Yes, mr. president, use your hand to move the mouse, not your nose."

9. My advice to Bush: quit reminding people of the Katrina teleconference
Also, don't pose for the camera in a way that makes it look like you're toolin' your meat while discussing war.
