Traumatized, Afraid - 300,000 Lebanese Children Want To Go Home
About 300,000 Lebanese children have been displaced by Israel's three-week war against Hizbollah - a third of the number of people who have abandoned their homes. In many cases they were ordered out by Israeli army leaflets. They are living in open-air camps, like the one in the Beirut park, or in schools, where many sought refuge. Many children have been housed with host families - in the port of Sidon, 48km (30 miles) south of the capital, 40 per cent of the 22,700 children in temporary accommodation are doing so. The rest are in displacement centres.

1. Ingrates! They should be happy in assisting in the birth of the New ME.
They should be proud to bury their people, sacrifice their houses, and be put into luxurious "displacement centres".

Why do they hate "Murka"?

5. suffer the children....

A group of displaced Lebanese children listen to one of the teachers during an acting class on the main stage of Al-Madinah Theater on Hamra Street on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, in Beirut, Lebanon. Al-Madinah Theater was supposed to show a series of art films and host school shows this summer. Instead, the theater has become home to scores of refugees and its stage, gallery and halls a cultural oasis where their children can act, draw and watch movies. Every day, volunteers show up at the theater on Hamra Street in Beirut _ away from Israel's relentless bombardment of the capital's southern neighborhoods _ and give art and drama workshops to help the displaced youth channel pent-up fears and anger into creative expression. 13. LOL!!!
I was wondering when the 'poor poor Israel' crowd would start in.

Where, exactly, are the 300,000 dispossessed Israelis?

Oh, right - THERE AREN'T ANY.

Israel has just created 300,000 new terroists. Good work!

8. Israeli children also want to walk the street without being blown up
by a suicide bomber or a missle.

US Marines wanted to sleep through the night without 241 of them being blown up by Hezbollah.

People in Argentina wanted to live in peace before Hezbollah blew up 150 of them.

Yes, yes, my heart bleeds for all the "innocent" Lebanese.

You are right. But since Israel kills children at about 50 times the rate that the Palestinians or Lebanese do, my heart bleeds 50X more for the Labanese children.
