5. How are they always so quick to determine that
Even if it is a gas explosion, how do they know that it was not tampered with. I could never understand how they can determine that so quickly.

4. MSNBC: Unable to say what caused the explosion
or to get additional info from official denial that it is not terror related.

I thought this story was over and done with!

6. They haven't had time to actually figure it out.
Jordan just wants to stay out of things, and I don't blame them.

11. That is a good question
I don't think Israel or the US wants them involved. This attack on Lebanon seems to be a way to pull in Iran, while Israel picks up a water supply as a bonus for their trouble. Jordanian involvement would just complicate things.

The only thing that does make sense is that some internal faction (PLO?) , perhaps at the behest of Iran, is trying to pull Jordan in to make for a distraction. If I were Iran, I would be doing everything I could to stay out of things directly and let proxies do my fighting for me. This way, I could have plausible deniability but tire out my enemy, especially as one of them goes into a crucial midterm election.

8. MSNBC's Jordanian reporter: not terrorism but a "criminal action"
Now I am truly confused. The explosion was actually at the intelligence service, but it is not terror related but a "criminal action."

I am still waiting for a link...

12. Criminal action = "internal" with no international implications
Jordan is not getting pulled in.
