2. That actually would be
Impeach, convict and imprison - impeach = indict

No way he will EVER be convicted in the Senate as it takes 67 votes.....

but it is a lovely thought

5. I don't know about that.
Things are changing fast. The upcoming Lieberman primary loss is going to have repercussions all over the political landscape. I predict that this is going to reverberate to all corners, including the media.

Maybe this is the tipping point we've been anticipating. Who could have imagined that it would be a Democratic loss that would do it?

One thing we can be sure of, if the Democrats somehow get some spine between now and November, this year's election could sweep the Dems into power. Lieberman's troubles could be the bellwether.

7. You are leaving out one important piece of the equation
the voting machines. Fortunately, CT doesn't have electronic voting machines from what I understand - but there are plenty of them in other places in the country to impact the results in November. I for one do not believe we will take back the House or the Senate....because of the voting machines.

I really hope I'm wrong - but these criminals can not AFFORD to lose power and they will do ANYTHING to make sure they don't.

And btw Lieberman hasn't lost yet - you know my mother always told me don't count your chickens before they're hatched.

Sorry to be a wet blanket but that's how I feel.

11. My presumptions on Diebold et al.
First, there's going to be people watching the polls closer than ever. If the Democrats can't document any election fraud this time it shouldn't be because we weren't watching for it.

Second, I think that the number of votes between winner and loser is likely going to be much higher this time. Things have gone very, very sour for the Repugs. It is less likely that they will be able to overcome their deficit without detection which is obvious to casual observers.

I know that the Repugs are thugs, liars, and cheats. But this time, I'm hoping that the Dems will have enough people on the ground to raise Holy Hell if the bad guys try funny things. We'll be well alert to their games this time.

Of course, if the Democratic Party devotes no resources to election security all these presumptions may go out the window.

12. I'd like to think you are right but I don't
I have seen very little indication that the Dem leaders have too much concern or energy to fight stolen elections - and I'm not sure how many people will be watching the polls - if there are that will of course help - but can be over come by altering the vote count in the machines

Two I do not believe it makes one bit of difference how big a candidate wins by because if they are flipping votes in the machine - which is undetechtable - how would we ever know - the media won't make a fuss - most of the candidates that "lose" don't make a fuss - and they'll just say the exit polls were wrong - and find some lame reason to splain the whole mess away....

All that said - maybe just maybe the third time will be the charm and people will finally get that these elections are rigged and stand up against it (although it will really be at least the fourth time because of GA in 2002)

I hope I am completely wrong and that the Dems take back both the House and the Senate and shut these criminals down and investigate the hell out of them - but I fear there is just too much money, power and corruption to let that happen. But I fear we'll never survive two more years of this crap

9. no, impeach, then indict for war crimes, and convict.
Torture? civilian murders? crimes against humanity? Supplying Israel with weapons of mass destruction?

10. Gotcha ya
but impeach doesn't remove him - so the indict for war crimes isn't likely to happen unless convicted in the Senate to remove him - and then absolutely indict for war crimes - convict and throw his sorry ass in prison.

oh to dream....that would be SO SWEET.
