Exxon Funding Propaganda Mocking Global Warming Concerns
From Artmobile in Baltimore and The Mobtown Shank:

EXXON FUNDING PROPAGANDA TO MOCK GLOBAL WARMING CONCERNS - GO FIGURE

http://sugarfreak.typepad.com/mobtownshank/2006/08/shanktv_corpora.html

"If you go to www.youtube.com you can find two cartoons related to Al Gore's movie An Inconvenient Truth.

The first is a promotional piece made by Matt Groening. It is sponsored by Paramount (the website shown at the end takes you directly to the movies website).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAggxIECe5M

The second is an amateurish animation spoofing Al Gore and March of the Penguins.

So who made this one? The profile says the maker's name is 'toutsmith' from Beverly Hills. However, the Wall Street Journal (in a report today) did some digging and the computer routing number from toutsmith appears to originate from DCI Group in Washington DC. DCI Group is a public relations firm with Exxon listed as one of its clients. They refused to either confirm or deny any connection with the project.

It's a piece of fact-less propaganda done up to look like it's made by a cool slacker with too much time on his hands thereby appealling to other cool slackers with too much time on their hands.

'Our team of professionals possesses extensive grassroots and government affairs experience. Team members include Washington, DC-based lobbyists, public relations professionals, political operatives, and a national field team of legislative and grassroots professionals based in all 50 states that helps shape public opinion and outcomes 'outside the Beltway.'' -DCI Group, http://www.dcigroup.com/ "

1. On top of that the Gore spoof uses Tux, the Linux mascot
I don't know if they can legally use Tux for that.

2. Yes, that was in Artmobile's full article, but I cut it out
due to the copyright/limitation rules. Thanks for bringing attention to it.
