Laura Bush speaks on young people at DU

First Lady Laura Bush came to Denver Friday as part of her campaign to persuade Americans to get involved with America’s youth.
Mrs. Bush was speaking at the University of Denver at a regional conference of a White House program she heads called Helping America’s Youth.

The program is designed to identify and overcome problems facing young people.

She said today’s young people face gangs, drugs, Internet predators, and violence on television and real life, but "they often face them with fewer people to help."

Many children today spend more time alone or with their friends than with their families, she said.

I'm stopping here and now. I don't need to remember anymore thoughts from childhood. All I want is a decent adulthood or a heart attack. And believe it or not, I'm not keen on the latter.

A month later on National TV Laura said Bush* didn't write the poem and that it was all a joke. It was no joke it was an out an out LIE....We know Laura wrote the poem herself and it should be analysed as to her personel problems because she has a lot of them..
