...job by far of reporting over there. I don't think I ever even heard of him before now? He looks familiar but I don't remember seeing him reporting from Iraq or anything? Might be new? He appears to be a real actual correspondent. Calls them like he sees them. And I am usually pretty rough on the media. So thats saying something.

3. K&R - Mick Ware is one of THE BEST reporters on all of TV!
Edited on Fri Aug-04-06 06:43 PM by Cooley Hurd
His reporting from Baghdad for Time Mag was always honest and riveting. I think CNN has hired him full-time and his reports from Beirut are just as good as his Baghdad stint.

When in Baghdad for Time, he would call in to Rachel Maddow's show on a regular basis.

7. Yea, when he comes on I stop and listen to him
Clear and concise. No extra BS. Just the story. And it is like he reports from his heart rather than from something someone else has written down for him. He seems independent as heck. I like his style a lot.

good one that CNN has.

6. I keep hearing all these great reports about CNN's Michael Ware..BUT
when is he on? I never see his name or reporting?

All I see is Austrailians who missed the Geiko Commercial by a hair...who sound like they work for Harper/Bush Buddy?

Where is this guy! I've been LOOKING but don't see...and he wasn't on with Blitzer this evening or I would have picked out his name!

9. Its hit and miss. I don't think there is a set schedule? I wish there was
I would never miss his reporting if I didn't have to no matter where it was from.

13. Can you give a little info on what he looks like, age, physical descriptio
and that kind of thing?

Theres one reporter who looks maybe early 50's with blonde hair who is heavy set (almost pleasantly chubby) who has done incredible reports on the HUMAN ISSUES with Iraq and now the I/L Situation. His accent is slightly British but not so much as one would notice...and he's my favorite...yet I never see him on Blitzers afternoon and evening roundup of news. He seems to only be on in the Morning until Early Afternoon.

Could this reporter I'm describing be Michael Ware? He looks like a pleasant Chris Matthews but has a very kind face and demeanor?

10. BBC Int. is light years ahead of all US coverage
LBC America is excellent in terms of video coverage but I need my neighbour to translate most of it. The French and Spanish stations are excellent. The analysis on US channels is atrocious and the fact that most of the ME has access is a PR disaster.

11. he's good, but he was better.
if this is the person I'm thinking about.
He had some absolutely Blistering talk about Bush and his gang at one time not too long ago.
Not sure what service he was with at that time, but since has been a CNN reporter and although still damn good compared to most of his asshat colleagues, has toned down a bit.

16. Clips
If you have QT7, clips of Michael's CNN broadcasts (as well as a few other sources) are available at www.MickWare.com.

There is some bio info on his Wikipedia page, too.

19. He gave some really scathing, negative reports from Baghdad when he was
reporting from there. I'm surprised they put his reports on the air. He is the best!
