10. Lebanese were discussing amongst themselves whether to disarm

Hizbollah or allow them to form the basis of the Lebanese army. Cause Lebanon had peace and the start of democracy..they just didn't have an army.

So to say that Lebanese were not discussing this.. after they had that revolution that kicked the Syrians out... is not true. They were, as a people, trying to decide what was in their best interest. To have an army based on Hizbollah with a long term agenda against Israel.. or to do away with that and go for an army that is only there to meet the needs of Lebanon the country.

Hizbollah had reason to panic. It's future was being discussed by people who wanted peace and to build peace in Lebanon.

To say that a good part of Lebanon was not open to or considering ending Hizbollah as the only military force there and replacing it with something democratic and home-grown..in terms of security and peace (the functions of an army).. is avoiding the issue. And avoiding that Hizbollah did panic and did try new tactics to perhaps destabilize. They played into neocon hands.

But you cannot ignore the facts. Hizbollah is not an organization that exists for the good of the average Lebanese civilian. They have an agenda outside of Lebanon. And they do use Lebanese civilians as cover.. which is just as evil as civilians being bombed.

I don't think Condi..wrong in so many things..is lying when she says that Hizbollah and Lebanon are not the same thing.

12. I don't disagree with what you say, but I think now Lebanon

will never be able to disarm Hezbollah. And Lebanese public opinion is now with Hezbollah, whereas before, perhaps, there was some opposition to it.

How is what Israel is doing now helping Lebanon and how is this really neutering Hezbollah?
