Why Does ROVE Want Us To See This? (91-Page Repub Campaign Playbook)
Edited on Fri Aug-04-06 03:45 PM by kpete
Raw Story acquires 91-page Republican playbook for 'homestretch' campaigning

A massive, 91-page http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/GOPAugust.pdf memo to Senate Republicans outlining strategies for "homestretch" campaigning in the August recess, has been acquired by RAW STORY.

The document, signed by Senators Rick Santorum (R-PA) and Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX), reveals plans to focus Republican Senatorial campaigns on three themes.

Next week, Republicans will tout efforts to "secure America's prosperity," through a variety of programs. Plans for small business health insurance pooling, spending reductions, increased domestic oil drilling, and "permanent death tax reform" are all to be pushed at the state level.

Mid-month, Republicans are expected to shift gears, instead focusing voter's attention on a variety of values-based initiatives. "Democrats oppose preserving a clear definition of marriage, are blocking child custody protections, and have obstructed the confirmation of fair judges," the document reads. "Republicans are committed to protecting these traditional values by fostering a culture of life, protecting children, banning internet gambling and upholding the rule of law."

2. I have no idea
These are tired issues that Americans are tired of. Maybe it's the cover for all the crappy, dirty tricks they'll be pulling behind the scenes.

3. It's a false flag leak to give the American public the impression that
....republicans are planning a campaign this fall, but in reality BushCo will create another major crisis beyond anything we have seen to date for which the republican congress will demand martial law throughout the nation and will call for President Bush to be made dictator.

6. They are obviously hoping the word "Securing" will win them the election
They are using "Securing" for:
Securing America's Future
Securing our Homeland
Securing our Prosperity
Securing our Values
Securing our Borders and Ports
Securing Energy Independence
Securing Health care
Securing Competitiveness

Whatever crap they think they're doing, they somehow think they'll be "securing it." So plan to hear plenty of that word in the coming weeks. It would be nice to have a clever play on words or something similar whenever these terms are used. Ideas?

8. Subliminal: Contract with America!
If Gingrich's plan was so great, why did the GOP have to resort to election fraud in 2000, 2002 and 2004. The GOP's power is driven by corruption, greed and media complicity, and they've been exposed!
